Volunteer
Ronald McDonald House Charities of North Central Florida is delighted that you wish to share your time, talents and energy to help us meet the needs of families with seriously ill children being treated at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital. Volunteers are the heart of our organization and play a vital role in the successful operation of Ronald McDonald House® and Ronald McDonald Family Room® programs.
Apply NowThe Visiting Chef program is a wildly popular volunteer program for groups of four friends, family members, or co-workers. No professional cooking experience is required, and folks have lots of fun. Volunteers provide all the ingredients to make a home-cooked meal, or you may cater in from a restaurant for our families (approximately 50 servings). Volunteers will need to arrive in time to prepare their meals following our meal times.
Here is a sure-fire way to cheer up our families! Groups of five or fewer bake or make comfort foods using our kitchen and bake-ware. All you need to bring are the ingredients! Please view our guidelines to learn more about the program. If you are interested in making someone’s day a little sweeter, please scroll down and complete the form to request a date and time. If you have questions about the program, please email sweets@rmhcncf.org.
